Frequently Asked Questions
When do new beads come up?
Usually once or twice a week.

What's a Beadist???
I'm so glad you asked. It's anyone who makes beads, strings beads,
collects beads, or just loves beads. We are artists who love beads. We find ways of bringing beads
into most areas of our lives. Few things in a Beadists world are unembellished.
For me, beads are how I make my living and also how I give back to the world.

Can I special order a bead?
No. I don't do custom work. I've tried enough times to know it doesn't work for me.
The one exception is Memorial Beads, which I make to order, but still don't do custom design work for.

What are your business hours?
If I'm awake, I'm usually near the computer.
Send an email if you have a question,
and I'll get back to you, quick as I can.

What's your phone number?
I don't post it on my website. If you need to call me for some reason, send me an email first,
and I'll send you my number. I don't like to talk on the phone.
Email is much more efficient.

Can I shop by phone?
No.

What time zone are you in?

I live in Taos, New Mexico, which is in the
Mountain Time Zone.

How much is shipping?
I offer free U.S. shipping on orders over $50. Below $50, it's a flat rate of $5.
International orders to Canada, add $10. All other countries, add $15.

Do you offer international shipping?
At the moment, my shopping cart has no setting for sales outside the US.
How ridiculous! I'm working on it!
For now, if you live in another country, contact me and I'll tell you
how to work around the shopping cart.

What's your return policy?
All sales are final, unless of course, I send you something that's cracked or broken and it's my fault.
Please read the descriptions carefully, and clear up any questions before you buy.
Those of you who already own my beads know that I only sell the very best of what I make,
and I'm super-picky about proper annealing. Please look carefully before you buy.

To return an item, contact me by email first.
Returns must be made within seven days of delivery, and must be sent carefully packaged and protected, in the original gift packaging, via a traceable method of shipping such as USPS Priority with Delivery Confirmation. The sale price will be refunded through PayPal.

Do you wholesale?
No I don't, but thanks for asking.

Do you teach?
No, but the ISGB Forum is a good source of information.

Why don't you make the beads you used to make?
Because I believe in moving forward. I don't like going back.
I've never been to a high school reunion. I don't want to move back to anyplace I've ever lived before.
I don't like to dig up old wounds. I don't even like to back up in my car... Sometimes I'll revisit a bead style that's been composting for a while, but I always change it in some way. Boredom is death to art!
If you see something you like now, better get it now.
